EnergySmith provided us excellent service and installation of whole attic blown insulation. EnergySmith techs sealed the attic and added vents where needed, they installed batts in the two car garage ceiling, under the bedrooms. EnergySmith even arranged for Duke Energy to give us a $250 rebate card. Most importantly, the house is consistent temp with thermostat for both heat and air. These folks are pros.

We recently got three quotes from different companies on getting our insulation topped off. EnergySmith wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but we were most impressed with what they presented and the thoroughness of the job they intended to do. Mike and his crew worked hard. Ours was a big insulation job in our crawlspace and it had a few issues that weren't anticipated (including a snake!). After they left we found a small section that they had missed. When I informed him of the mishap he quickly got me on the schedule to get his crew back out to fix it. Mike and his crew are great. They quickly removed old attic insulation and added new insulation a couple years ago. Recently, when I reached out to Mike about an issue we noticed in the attic, they came and took a look the very next day and within 3 days they resolved the problem. They added insulation to my 1946 house and it'ssd amazing how much cooler it stays in the summer and how warm it was this winter. I wish I had done it when I moved in 10 years ago. It would have paid for itself many times over by now. Nice folks to work with too. Highly recommend these guys.

Mike F diagnosed a mysterious ice problem in my attic and (along with other issues being addressed), advised beefing up the insulation rating (mine was very old), adding copperflect barrier, killing mold, and ensured soffit was working. He's a very knowledgeable guy and came back to check on things after the fix. His crew was excellent. My home is warmer and along with the other issues being addressed in this complex problem, I feel that Mike's advice helped save the day

My home was constructed in 2001 and I assumed it was constructed to modern standards and well insulated. However, it wasn't ever very "cozy" so 3 years ago, I had Mike check it out. He found a sufficient amount of insulation, but a very poor job of sealing gaps in the attic. He properly sealed everything and we added a couple inches of blown insulation for good measure. The results were noticable almost instantly. My heat pump was no longer running constantly. My annual electric bill is averaged into a monthly fixed amount. Since Mike worked his magic, the monthly amount has decreased $100, so I am saving $1,200 per year. Additionally, my heat pump works a lot less, so it's reasonable to assume it will last a lot longer. Due to my positive experience with EnergySmith, I recently called him back to insulate above drop ceiling tiles in my basement. This was primarily to reduce noise from the first floor. I haven't had long enough to determine the difference, but I am certain there will be one. I greatly appreciate the fact that 1) Mike shows up when he says he's going to - that's a very rare find in the trades, and 2) his crew cleans up before they leave (also very rare.) I wasn't home when they arrived, but I trusted them to enter my house unattended to do the work. I returned, as they were finishing up, and I found his crew sweeping the entire basement. I think you get the point - if you need help with insulation - just call Mike!

We shopped around a little bit before getting our insulation upgraded, and EnergySmith was much more reasonable on price for a similar service (thermal barrier + blow-in insulation + closed-cell foam sealing).The install took two days, the crew was nice, and it was no big deal. Joe, the owner, was very knowledgeable and didn't come across as "selling." The biggest red flag to me of sales people in this market are elaborate presentations that try to justify high prices. Joe did not do that, so he got the business.

Our 1930's home was in desperate need of attic insulation and sealing. Energy Smith did a fantastic job. We have a mini split system upstairs, and have seen our electric bill drop significantly. They removed all the old insulation, added new and sealed. Very nice professional folks!
